'Reconquest of Vigo' Exhibition
Since its founding in 1937 the municipal museum of León_ _Quiñones is an emblematic city of Vigo. In a seventeenth century manor very reformed in late nineteenth outlines the salient parts of the municipal collections of local history, art and archeology.
On the ground floor is still preserved the noble atmosphere of the former residence of the Marquis, pazo donors through a fortunate recreation furnishings and period decor, and the permanent exhibition of European paintings from the seventeenth and eighteenth legacy Vigo benefactor Don Policarpo Sanz.
The twentieth century Galician art is the star of the museum. In the first and second floors of unique milestones find our contemporary artistic creation: regionalism, the renovation of the 30, and the final incorporation of Galician art to current trends experienced in the second half of the century.

Granell, Xoan Piñeiro, Antonio Quesada, John Oliveira, Elena Colmeiro.The 70: Xaime Quessada, Acisclo Manzano, Sucasas Alfonso, Alberto Datas, Francisco Mantecón. And finally, the group of the 80 Atlantic: Ánxel Huete, Anton Patiño, Ánxel Huete, Silveiro Rivas, Leiro.
In this room are exposed archaeological remostos ranging from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. Bifaces, choppers, knives, cleavers Paleolithic. Picos Mesolithic flakes and scrapers. Neolithic stone axes. The Atios Cista of the Bronze Age. Ceramics Castreña Age (Iron Age). And wakes Galaica Roman-Roman era.
