Vigo: Pasarela de Jóvenes Diseñadores 2008 - Vigoferia

A total of 33 young artists with 29 innovative collections this year participated in the thirteenth edition of the Young Designers Runway. This was double the number of participants compared to previous editions, and is a clear sign that the gateway has reached its goal of becoming the showcase of the new Spanish design talent, and that participants were enrolled from nine provinces creators Spain: Barcelona, ??Álava, Vizcaya, Madrid, Pontevedra, A Coruna, Guipúzcoa, Navarra and Cáceres.

He noted especially the high number of participants of Biscay, 10 in total. In addition, this year the Gateway had a strong international presence with designers from Portugal and France.

For two days, participants showed their collections at the fashion shows that were held at the Instituto Ferial de Vigo and were followed by a large audience. After twelve editions, the Gateway offered participants the opportunity to make contact with the reality of the labor market, show their work and get business contacts to boost their careers.

The Portuguese creative Indio Mara (Leiria, 1987) with the collection "Human Behaviour" was the winner of the thirteenth edition of the International Young Designers Runway, held for three days at the Instituto Ferial de Vigo (IFEVI) in the classroom Vigoferia.For this collection, Indio Mara, who studied Technician School Styling Cenatex (Guimarães), was inspired by the Japanese art of paper folding.

The second prize went to Jaime Mesa, Columbian-born but based in Bilbao, with the collection "Linoleum", and the third was classified Eba Cruz with "Shout".

In addition to these three winners, the jury awarded two runners to Gipuzkoa Roberto Etxeberría by creating "Night Calls" and Marta Rodriguez baionesa "Virtual Reality?".

The Basque Diestre Joane, with the collection "Aime la vie", took special mention to the collection Best Complemented while Iriarte Nahia pamplonesa "Juguseando" won in the section of the collection more creative. Special mention to the ultimate collection for the Barcelona Complemented was Veronica Raposo with "Mirage".

Also awarded the NX to Vigo Cristina Bernárdez with "L'Espirit free", which was voted the best collection www.novaxove.com through the portal, the portal Caixanova young.
