Route of Natural Areas

The Carballal of Coiro, in the parish of the same name, is one of the most important bodies of indigenous forest in the southern coast of Galicia. To access it, you can do it in several places. For one, coming towards Cangas Bueu inside, ie, by the PO-315, just to get the call from the Portela Alto, we take a detour to the left going to the chapel of San Cosme. If we go out there, we'll gradually adentrando in Fraga, past the waterfall Bouzós River, which rises in the Ermelo area. Another way is pretty easy to get up to the beautiful church of Coiro and take the path that goes around the back of it. We cross a steep slope in Corredoira meets the main trail coming from San Cosme. That way we will find several crossings of roads leading to the mountain of Pena at the Paralaia or Ermelo.

The beach area of ??Barra and Cape Home, in the not too distant future could be part of the Maritime Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands, is another natural spaces. This is a coastal area, open to the Atlantic Ocean, which is protected by the Cies Islands and has a large dune complex. To go to this area, take the C-550 road that runs from Cangas Bueu and about 4 km, take the road to the parish of Hío, where we'll see the indicator bar that leads to Cabo and Home.The views of the Costa da Vela, with cliffs, and the Cies Islands, are also incomparable beauty of Hío Cruceiro visit.

Ecological Route Morrazo

The route travels at 84 km Morrazo entire Peninsula with a circular path. It is considered an extensive route and gained the approval of the Mountaineering Federation of the GR-59 number.

It runs along paths, "corredoiras" and "congostras" up medieval roads, forest, etc. allowing a better acquaintance with nature and extensive knowledge of geography and environment outgoing values.

Reference is set to zero kilometer, on Lake Castiñeiras, municipality of Marin, then drive to Moaña through forest tracks with us for this stretch of the scenic estuary of Vigo.

Once in the "Alto de Portela" (km 24) we headed to the coast and intended mark "O Facho" (km 36) in the vicinity of Donón, instead of high landscape value.

After leaving this point went to the area of ??"Cape Udra" which also has a great beauty and is included in the Natura.

The goal is the starting point in the lake and for this we travel Castiñeiras the north side of the peninsula making an ascent in 14 km., 400 meters high, reaching "Ermelo", from where one can spot rias of Pontevedra, Vigo and Arosa.

Our journey through the hillside and accompanied by panoramic Pontevedra estuary leads to the last stretch of the ascension from Marin to the lake through a narrow path that crosses the brook repeatedly Castiñeiras.

Panoramic Trail Furnas

Starting from the beach in Santa Marta and following the road to the beach we _O Porto_ the start of the scenic route of the Furnas. The furnas caves are created by erosion of the sea against the rocks of the coast.
