| Cow Parade 2007 |
CowParade is one of the greatest events public of art in the world. This year is celebrated in Vigo and Milan. This participativa
exhibition has been developed in cities worldwide like Chicago, New York, Houston, Dublin, Brussels, Athens, London... really,
in the most important cities of the world, and this year in Vigo. The sculptures of the cow are the same ones in each exhibition
but they are interpreted by the artists of each city having given its vision like art object.

| Franz Ferdinand |
Franz Ferdinand was able to fill the auditorium of Castrelos congregating more than 20,000 people. The groups Delorean and
Femme Fatale were their supporting groups. This has been the week of the concerts of Vigo since in the same week they played
the Gal Costa, Joaquin Sabina, Ana Torroja, Mota and X Alfonso. Sabina filled the wharf of transatlantic and Ana Torroja made
us vibrate with the songs of Mecano. Sunday was the Aerial Festival that was loaded of strong emotions after an accident of
helicopter without wounded.

| 'La Oreja de Van Gogh' concert |
La Oreja de Van Gogh opened the concerts programmed in the occasion of the centenary of the Real Club Nautical of Vigo, where
also it will go, the next week, Joaquin Sabina. The group jumped to the stage at 23,00 hours in the esplanade of the wharf
of transatlantic, where they launched its new record work, that takes by name ' Guapa'. Only for weeks 'La Oreja de Van Gogh'

| Concerts in Vigo |
With the concerts of Castrelos area the celebrations of the summer are inaugurated . More than 15.000 people they flooded
the auditorium to listen to "Quatro D April" and the "Dream of Morfeo". This year the concerts promise to fill to the auditorium
with groups and artists like: Pet Shop Boys, Ziggy Marley, Ana Torroja, Franz Ferdinand, Helloween... But this are nothing
else that the principle already the Real Club Nautical celebrates its centenary and brings to us in concert to Joaquin Sabina
and the "Oreja de Van Gogh".

| Imaxina Jazz Orquestra |
The emblematic band Art Ensemble of Chicago closed this last Sunday the festival Imaxina Sons in the Cultural Center Caixanova,

On Monday 19 of June we could listen Dominique Pifarely in the auditorium of Marco within the Festival of Imaxinasons Jazz.
Dominique began to play to the six years old and it formed in the conservatory of Montreuil. At the present time one of the

it has visited Canada, Japan, India, Latin America and Africa.

| The human voice according to Lorca |
The 3 of June finalized the cycle of young interpreters Xeración 2000+6. "The human voice according to Lorca" it consisted
of two parts formed by compositions based on creations of the poet. In first works like "Tríptico" were interpreted, of Garciía
Leoz, "Three songs", of Gisela Hernandez, "Two songs", of Xabier Galegos Montsalvatge, and "Six poems", in charge of Carlso
Gambeiro. The second part of concert, to which this photo belongs, included the cycle of voices songs "Ancient of children",
of George Crumb on texts of Garci'a Lorca.

This opera composed by Mozart between 1789 and 1790 has been qualified in numerous occasions like a "geometric" or "symmetrical"

Dorabella and their fiance's, the military Ferrando and Guglielmo. This representation has been prepared and developed completely

| The International of the Dance Day |
During the last week of April Vigo added to the celebration of the Day the choreographic International of the Dance with
programs of performances, samples and classes in the streets, with which the Galician Association de Profesionales of the
Dance wanted to spread this art between the society. For a days Vigo was a great stage where the pedestrians were the occasional

During the first week of April the Cycle of Sacred Music 2006 under the subtitle of "Encontros místicos". Four performances

| The nymph and the dragoon |
The 31 of March a new monument in the Alfonso XII Street was inaugurated. The monument at issue is dedicated to the "poets,
singers and trovadores of Ria of Vigo". The copper sculpture rests on a great granite column of four meters of height. His

New record of participation for the average maratón Vig Bay that already accumulates his seventh edition. Abraham Chelanga
was the winner of the present edition being distanced of the squad and completing in solitaire most of the 21 kilometers that
separate the viguesa beach of the center of Baiona. The great local protagonist was vigués Rescuing Elías Domínguez, that

The International Nautical Vigo Hall has beaten record of visits and it is put to the height of the great nautical fairs of

In the carnival of Vigo takes a special meaning the Meco, personage of the carnival, that every year is represented by a satirical

We closed the year by third time from Vigoenfotos. We have fulfilled already 3 years in Internet taking the image of the city
everywhere. We hoped that to follow other three years more and those than they make lack. A strong hug to all the Galicians

| Opera Cosí Fan Tutte |
Within the cycle of Lyric of Autumn promoted by the "Friends of the Opera of Vigo" the opera of W. Mozart imagined the past

| The Titanic arrives at Vigo |
After the Volvo Ocean Race and the acts of the centenary of the death of Julio Verne the Titanic docks in Vigo. "Titanic The

| Comienza la Volvo Ocean Race |
Por primera vez, un destino no británico albergó la salida de la Volvo Ocean Race, la regata transoceánica más prestigiosa
de cuantas se disputan en el mundo. Vigo fue el lugar elegido como punto de partida de la novena edición de la VOR. Miles
de personas se acercaron a la ría de Vigo para despedir y arropar a los participantes.

| Semana de la Volvo...y la moda |
El domingo 6 ha sido el Certamen Internacional de Jóvenes Diseñadores de Vigo y el día 10 será el certamen de nuevos diseñadores
de moda 'Tesoira 2005' en el Centro Cultural Caixanova y un día antes el Corte Inglés presentará un espectáculo de moda luz

| Julio Verne se queda en Vigo |
Después de 100 años de su muerte, el autor de novelas visionarias, misteriosas y extraordinarias, se queda a descansar en
Vigo, donde ya estuvo hace más de un siglo(1878). El escultor vigués José Molares ha logrado captar la esencia de Verne representándolo
sobre los enormes tentáculos del calamar gigante que luchaba con Nemo en el Nautilus.

| Eclipse de Sol anular (Secuencia) |
Mostramos en 12 fotogramas el eclipse anular del 3 de octubre de 2005. Geometría y astronomía se unen de la mano en uno de
los fenómenos naturales más bellos de la naturaleza. Durante unos 4 minutos (a las 10:53 de la mañana) la Ría de Vigo quedó
fría y bajo una luz ténue. No podremos disfrutar de otro eclipse anular en España hasta el año 2028.

| Lugris conoce a Verne |
Ambos genios de la pintura y la literatura tuvieron algo en común: La Ría de Vigo. Ambos se dejaron cautivar por la belleza
de sus paisajes. Verne llevó al mismísimo Nemo a recoger tesoros de Rande y Lugris plasmo el espíritu de Verne en sus pinturas.
Esta foto podría ser una nueva inspiración para ambos: pinturas para Lugris y tinta para Verne.

| El faro al farero |
Este pequeño faro en la entrada de la estación marítima homenajea a "Pepe" o Don José García Carro, que dedicó gran parte
de su vida a la conservación y cuidado de los faros de la Ría de la Vigo. Faros que a su vez cuidaban de los marineros que
se hacían a la mar cada noche.

| A vista de pájaro |
La isla Sur y el "Faro da Porta" a vista de pájaro. No hace falta ir en avión para hacer esta foto, basta con subir hasta
el Monte del Faro, a 178 metros de altitud, para contemplar estas fabulosas vistas en directo. Este camino era hecho antiguamente
por los niños que habitaban la isla para asistir a las clases que daba el maestro farero.

| Pareja de cormoranes en Cíes |
Unas 1500 parejas de cormoranes moñudos nidifican en Cíes y Ons constituyendo más del 33% de la población nidificante española,
siendo la colonia de cría más importante en toda Europa. Esta es la última semana que salen barcos de pasaje a las islas,
después habrá que esperar hasta Semana Santa para poder pisar estas bellas islas.

Este felino observa con paciencia el ir y venir de los visitantes del zoo. Zoológico que está sufriendo importantes cambios
como la creación de un nuevo espacio para los primates: "La isla de los monos". Más de 100.000 personas visitan cada año este
zoo vigués que es el único de Galicia.

| Amaral en Castrelos |
El grupo zaragozano Amaral clausuró en el parque Castrelos el ciclo de conciertos de las fiestas viguesas del Cristo de la
Victoria. Miles de personas llenaron el recinto del auditorio para escuchar a este dúo que deleitó a los presentes con sus
letras cuidadas en un espléndido directo y un fabuloso escenario lleno de luces y pantallas de plasma.

El 3 de octubre la Ría de Vigo se oscurecerá en pleno día a causa de un eclipse de sol anular. El último de la península fue
en el año 1777 y el próximo no será antes de enero de 2028. Una oportunidad única para contemplar uno de los fenómenos naturales

| Procesión del Cristo de la Victoria |
Miles de fieles acompañaron a la imagen del Cristo de la Victoria por las calles de la ciudad en muestra de su devoción en
la procesión más multitudinaria de la ciudad. Ofrendas florales y miles de velas encendidas en una procesión que siguió al
Cristo durante más de tres horas.

"The Prodigy" ha sido uno de los grupos estrella de los conciertos de verano de Vigo. Un espectáculo de luz y sonido que hizo
vibrar la noche del primer lunes de agosto a todos los presentes en el Auditorio al aire libre de Castrelos.

El Groupama-2 se impuso con claridad en el Gran Premio Galicia 2005 de Catamaranes Multicasco 60'. El Groupama 2 pertenece

Este domingo 10 de julio se pudo disfrutar en la playa de Samil de una exhibición aérea a cargo de la patrulla Águila, la
unidad de paracaidistas EADA, un F-18 y un hidroavión. Un espectáculo digno de verse como lo es también el buque escuela Juan
Sebastián el Cano que nos ha visitado este fin de semana.

| Catamaranes en la playa del Vao |
El 1, 2 y 3 de Julio se celebró en la Ría de Vigo el II Raid Rías Baixas de catamaranes a vela. En la foto vemos la salida
desde la playa del Vao hacia las Islas Cíes y Baiona. Una competición deportiva que cada día tiene más adeptos en nuestra
ría.

La noche de la Ría de Vigo se volvió a iluminar con cientos de hogueras por todo su litoral. Una noche mágica que da la bienvenida
al verano en la noche más corta donde se eliminan las malas vibraciones con tradiciones ascentrales como el salto de hogueras
y la quema de lo viejo para ser renovado con el fuego purificador.

Del 16 de junio al 3 de julio la ciudad de Vigo ofrece en su oferta cultural el Festival de Jazz ImaxinaSons. En la foto vemos
a Gary Cambell al Saxo en el concierto del Miroslav Vitous Quartet del viernes 17 de junio en el Centro Cultural Caixanova.

El cementerio vigués de Pereiró cuenta con un patrimonio escultórico de artistas tan ilustres como Asorey, Julio González

Con esta bella foto hecha desde un avión en un vuelo Vigo-Madrid celebramos que el Celta de Vigo ha logrado este domingo remontar

| Batalla de las Flores 2005 |
Después de más 30 años las carrozas de la batalla de las flores desfilaron otra vez por el centro de la ciudad. Estallidos
de confeti y serpentinas de colores fueron los protagonistas junto a zancudos y carrozas multicolores. Una fiesta que congregó
a más de 80.000 vigueses y que es candidata a repetirse un año más.

| Xeración 2000+5. Ópera Dido y Eneas. |
Los días 5 y 6 de mayo se representó la ópera "Dido y Eneas" de Henry Purcell por Atelier de escena lírica en el auditorio
"Martín Codax" del Conservatorio Superior de Música. Un espectáculo perteneciente al programa del cíclo musical Xeración 2000+5
que impulsa el Concello de Vigo y que se celebra en mayo hasta el 3 de junio.

| Museo de Vigo Quiñones de León |
Es el primer museo de Vigo y en él se pueden contemplar unas magníficas colecciones y exposiciones de arte gallego y europeo,
arqueología e historia de Vigo. Se alberga en un pazo señorial del siglo XVII que cuenta con unos magníficos jardines de tipo

| Iglesia Nosa Señora das Neves (Teis) |
La parroquia de Teis cuenta con una de las obras maestras del magnífico escultor José Bar Boo: La iglesia de Nosa Señora das
Neves. Bar Boo demuestra el dominio del espacio y de los nuevos materiales de construcción con la ejecución de esta iglesia.
Una verdadera obra de arte de la arquitectura moderna.

| Derribo de la puerta de Gamboa |
El 27 de marzo de 1809 se inicia el derribo de la puerta de la Gamboa de la muralla de Vigo. Al día siguiente los franceses
se rinden y son apresados por la refriega popular. Vigo se convierte en la ciudad gallega que inicia la Reconquista. 196 años
después se sigue conmemorando este día.

| Exposición cetrera en Baiona |
Baiona a vuelto a ser el centro de atención con la celebración de la Fiesta de la Arribada que conmemoraba la llegada de la
carabela "La Pinta" al puerto de Baiona con la noticia del descubrimiento de América. Las aves rapaces surcaron el cielo como
así lo hicieron en época de los reyes Fernando e Isabel.
