Axolotl. Reptiles and Amphibians
Axolotl: Ambystoma mexicanun. It is a larva of a kind of salamander that reached sexual maturity without undergoing metamorphosis of amphibians (neoteny), thus retaining larval characteristics such as the gills, which stand to be outside and red, but it contains lungs. Color of larva is rather clear (dark yellow), as becomes an adult becomes darker until it becomes completely black. Natural populations have been on the verge of extinction because it is a delicacy for the Indians, which gave him the ability to cure syphilis, and scientific interest.
