The British Airways London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel , completed in 1999 and opened in March 2000 was the largest wheel-viewpoint of the world until the opening of Star of Nanchang in May 2006 and the subsequent Singapore Flyer in 2008. The London Eye reaches a height of 135 m on the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the Thames
